This course combines the flexibility of an online course with the live instructor-led interaction of a classroom. The online approach allows for anytime anywhere access and self-paced schedules. The online LIVE sessions allow for direct interaction with our instructors during the time you are registered in the course. OnlineLive sessions take place every other Monday night from 6:00pm to 7:00pm CST. These live instructor-led sessions give PV320e participants a chance to ask questions about course material, industry developments, or even personal projects. Participants can post questions beforehand and watch archived sessions later if unable to attend on Monday nights.
Participants receive 60 credit hours upon completion of all online work. After successfully completing ImagineSolar’s PV320e participants have satisfied their 58-hour educational requirements on advanced solar PV topics for NABCEP’s PV Installation Professional certification exam. You will receive a digital Certificate of Completion ready to upload as part of your NABCEP application.
Who is this class for?
PV320e is an advanced course with instruction on PV system design and problem-solving expertise. There is also focus on the US National Electric Code applications that are needed to successfully pass the NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification exam. Participants work through multiple complex PV system designs – accounting for location, technology, and code conditions. In addition to design considerations, PV320e covers areas of PV market economics, emerging PV technologies and considerations for utility scale and large commercial scale PV systems.
ImagineSolar’s PV320 alumni had a significantly higher pass rate than others who sat for the NABCEP certification exam. Please see NABCEP for complete requirements to take their exam.
This course is appropriate for anyone who wants to gain expertise in designing PV systems. It is targeted to engineers, electricians, entrepreneurs, and all others who intend to become professionals in the solar industry. If you do not have experience with PV systems, a recommended prerequisite for enrolling in this course our foundation course, PV201 or the online version PV201e.
